NEW SPICE BLENDS

Chef William Mueller of Babblin' Babs Bistro (2724 N. Proctor, Tacoma) has released his own Culinary Spice Blends. His blends of New Orleans, Thai, West Indies, Lonestar, Everyday and Greek add exotic flavors to your home-cooked meals and barbecue. The all-natural herb blends are available at his Proctor District restaurant, Smooth and Juicey (1121 Court B, Tacoma) and Harbor Green (5225 Olympic Dr., Gig Harbor). NEW LOUNGE

The BullsEye Bar has opened inside the Black Angus Steakhouse in Lakewood (9905 Bridgeport Way SW). From May 19-23, the lounge celebrates its grand opening with $3 16-ounce drafts and $5 off the bar menu.

NO DOZE DINER

Gruv Lounge and Nightclub (3829 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) received the thumbs up from the Liquor board to bring back their 2-4 a.m. breakfast. It's only $5 with the club stamp as well as industry folks.

WINE DINNER

Brix 25 (7707 Pioneer Way, Gig Harbor) hosts a four-course dinner paired with five wines from Boushey Vineyards at 6 p.m. May 19. The cost is $89 per person. Reserve your spot at 253.858.6626.

WINEMAKER DINNER

Morso (9014 Peacock Hill Ave., Gig Harbor) hosts Paolo Cantele from the Italian winery Powerhouse Cantele for a winemaker dinner at 6:30 p.m. May 20. The cost is $59 per person. Reserve your spot at 253.853.9463.

IVAR'S COMES TO PUYALLUP

The Northwest grown fish and chips chain Ivar's will open May 24 at 13101 Meridian Ave. E. in Puyallup. Expect free stuff, plus dancing clams from 5-7 p.m.

OFF THE VINE

El Gaucho (2119 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) hosts a wine tasting/retail event from 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 27. The cost is $15 per person. Reservations are not required.

COOKING CLASS

Primo Grill (601 S. Pine, Tacoma) hosts a cooking class with the bounty of local farms at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4. The cost is $65 per person. Reserve your spot at 253.383.7000.
