Veterans Day Service. Washelli Veterans Cemetery will host their annual Veterans Day Service at Evergreen Washelli, Monday, Nov. 12. The day will begin at 7 a.m. with flag placement followed by a band concert at 10:30 a.m. and Service of Remembrance at 11 a.m. 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle, 206.362.5200

Museum of Flight. The museum is offering free admission to all veterans for Sunday, Nov. 11. Guests can enjoy film screenings, presentations, and musical performances that honor the sacrifices of war veterans. At 11 a.m., a bell will be rung 21 times to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day and the end of World War I. Keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. Veterans Appreciation Days at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium & Northwest Trek. In honor of Veterans Day, Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is offering free admission to active-duty and veterans of the U.S. military. Washington State Capitol Rotunda World War I Centennial & Veterans Day Ceremony. There will be performances by the American Legion Band, WWI displays, special guest speakers, and a Bells of the Peace Tolling. Veterans Day Gathering of Remembrance and Honoring. The Hibulb Cultural Center will offer free admission to veterans and active-duty and their families to show appreciation for those who have served. 2018 Auburn Veterans Day Parade and Community Ceremony Luncheon. This year's theme is "One Hundred Years of Remembrance." The Grand Marshall of the Parade, posthumously, will be Richard Whiting Townsend, a U.S. Army private who was KIA in France, Sept. 27, 1918. Parade begins at 10:50 a.m. on the corner of Lincoln Way and Cleveland St. First 500 veterans will receive a commemorative medal. American flags and programs will be distributed to parade spectators. 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day. Tahoma National Cemetery will be hosting a celebration to honor our veterans of the past, present, and those in harms way on foreign lands and here at home. Gig Harbor Veterans Day. Across Puget Sound in Gig Harbor, celebrate Veterans Day with a program that includes lunch, military honors and a roundtable conversation with veterans from all service branches. Military Family Appreciation Day. For the 7th year, CRISTA Camps is honored to host this exclusive and free event for military families. The event will feature a BBQ, hot chocolate, and s'mores.
