WEEKLY VOLCANO HAPPY HOUR MOBILE APP LAUNCH PARTY: The Weekly Volcano has developed a bitchin' happy hour app. We're flipping the switch from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 7 in a party atmosphere during the kick ass happy hour at Pacific Grill (1502 Pacific Ave., Tacoma). Bartender Carol Reutercrona has created a special Volcano cocktail. And DJ dAb will be spinning rare funk and soul grooves. Come get connected.

NATIONAL BEER DAY: The Harmon Tap Room (204 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma) will celebrate National Beer Day Thursday, April 7 with $1 lunchtime beers, happy hour food from 3 p.m. to close, period dress competition with prizes from 6-8 p.m., and more.

COOKING CLASS: Primo Grill (601 S. Pine, Tacoma) hosts a Savory Cuisine of Morocco cooking class 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9. The cost is $65, which includes recipes, instruction, and lunch with glass of wine, tax and gratuity. Reserve your spot at 253.383.7000.

CHATEAU STE. MICHELLE IN THE HOUSE: John Sarich, culinary director at Chateau Ste. Michelle, will educate and entertain at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at Duke's Chowder House (3327 Ruston Way) in Tacoma.

NOSH LEAGUE FISH PHILOSOPHY: The Weekly Volcano's foodie group Nosh League will gather at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at Johnny's Dock for a demonstration on how to correctly filet and cook fish, as well as win raffle and door prizes. RSVP on the Nosh League's Facebook. There's a 20 person cap on this event, so get on it.

TAKING OVER THE HARMON: CenterForce, the awesome organization that helps those with disabilities find jobs, will "take over" the Harmon (1944 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) Thursday, April 14. The Harmon will kick back a percentage of its sales to Centerforce. Nice.

BENEFIT FOR JAPAN: The Dockside Bistro (501 Columbia St. NW, Olympia), in conjunction with Walter Dacon Wines and McCrea Cellars/Vina Saliida, will be hosting a five-course benefit dinner and silent auction at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 18 with all proceeds donated to Mercy Corps to assist with the Japanese relief effort.
