Cookbook Author Ashley Gartland and Bayview School of Cooking instructor Beth Storey share stories about farmers, chefs, fishermen, winemakers, distillers, brewers, cheesemakers and artisans who dedicate their time and energy to shrinking the distance between farm and table as well as prepare dishes Gartland's cookbooks at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Bayview School of Cooking (516 W.
