MAC N' MORE

Like most South Sounders, our love affair with fall and anything (and everything) pumpkin started in high school when we bowled them out our moving car windows and there isn't a September, October or November that doesn't go by without an assortment of pumpkin pies, bread, shots and lattes being consumed. But we always find that as many classic pumpkin themed dishes there are, we're wanting more. Enter Mac N' More (9323 Martin Way, Lacey). As a way to honor the owners' daughters, the restaurant is serving UW and WSU versions of its mac and cheese. The most dishes sold during November wins the Mac And Cheese Apple Cup.

JW RESTAURANT FALL MENU

With the change of season many of your favorite eateries are switching up the menu to highlight seasonal delights. JW Restaurant (4107 Harborview Dr., Gig Harbor) has launched theirs that includes some newbies and old favorites, including a steak roulade - bacon wrapped and stuff top sirloin and wild boar bourguignon.

HARMON TAP ROOM OPEN HOUSE

Harmon Tap Room (204 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma) plays home base to excellent brews and bites. These two things are are instrumental to making any corporate meeting or private dining experience aces. Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Tap Room opens its banquet space up for an open house while offering up complimentary appetizers and beverages (of the non-alcoholic variety). This is an opportunity to get familiar with a corporate meeting space and information of brew tours and tastings. Mmmm, sweet bubbly nectar of the keg.

TACOMA BREWING COMPANY

More hops goodness coming out of the Amocat Café (625 St. Helens Ave., Tacoma). Tacoma Brewing Company, aka Morgan Alexander, is having its first keg tapping party 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, which means brewski galore.
