In November, Dirty Oscar's Annex (2309 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) is showing their love for their fellow restaurant industry peeps by offering a 10 percent discount on everything for those with food or liquor cards.

HOPPY HOUR

B Sharp Coffee House (706 Opera Alley, Tacoma) has launched its Hoppy Hour. From 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, nab sweet deals on brews. Specials will rotate with the selection but you can bet on $1 off on all IPAs and porters. Specials will also be offered on select menu items to pair with your brewski.

FOOD EQUATION

Pacific Lutheran University's MediaLab will premiere a documentary about food waste at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at Theater on the Square (915 Broadway, Tacoma). The award-winning PLU filmmakers present Waste Not: Breaking Down the Food Equation featuring staggering statistics about food waste and how it affects society. With more than 100 interviews conducted across the U.S., UK and Canada, the film is sure to raise some eyebrows and bring awareness to our relationship to food. CHEERS GO WEST

The Tacoma Art Museum (1701 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) partnered with Harmon Brewing and Heritage Distilling Company to craft two special beverages for the grand opening celebrations of the its new wing, the Haub Family Collection and its "Western American Art," Saturday, Nov. 15. Browse the galleries, listen to bluegrass tunes and toss back local bourbon and beer. HDC's inaugural Tacoma New West Bourbon Whiskey, created exclusively for TAM, will be available at the distillery as well as local restaurants and retailers. A portion of the proceeds of every bottle sold goes right back to the museum. Harmon created Tacoma New West CDA, an unique Cascadian Dark Ale brewed with six different malted barleys and chocolate wheat. This grand opening is going to be one you're not going to want to miss. The free Go West Celebration runs 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by an evening party and members shindig from 7-11 p.m.
