ANNOUNCER: Dutch and Jackie caught wind of the new pizza parlor with a editorial twist opening on the Ave. Once the grand opening lines died down, the two jetted down to get their pizza pie fix.

JACKIE: This was the perfect opportunity for a family dinner date, I'd say. My squad ante'd to the corner to select our choices. The Jr. Editor is a brilliant option for the kiddies. A six-inch personal pizza, chocolate chip cookie and fountain drink will satisfy their hungry bellies with ease. My kids delighted at the opportunity to watch the crew press the dough, brush on the sauce and adorn each of our selections with scoopfuls of cheese and handfuls of veggies and meats. Pizza Press has a plethora of cheeses and sauces to lay the foundation including white sauce, spicy red sauce and even a pink sauce. On the ooey-gooey cheese side of things, you'll find smoked Gouda, feta, Gorgonzola and even a vegan option.

DUTCH: I love the family atmosphere, it reminded me of the Shakey's Pizza of my youth where I could watch to entire pie-making progression. And my young companion's eyes shared the same excitement as I did at that age. The only difference here is that you can talk to the pizza guy throughout the process. "Brilliant" is the right word for the Jr. Editor, the size and sides are exactly what every kid wants, plus, the personal pizza includes two toppings, unlike most places that only offer a one-topping option.

JACKIE: Man, and that crust. Thin but not floppy. I found the cracker-like crust almost addictive. But that could just be me and my weird admiration of cracker-y goodness. Also, I considered adding bourbon bacon to everything, but I'll save that for my next visit.

DUTCH: I normally toss the crust aside in anticipation of the flavor-packed part of the pizza's topping heavy middle, but like Jackie, I found myself finishing every bite of the fresh crust. With that said -- the toppings here deserve the same amount of attention, they, too, are fresh and delivered to your pizza with care. I gave The Tribune a go on my visit and though I tried, I wasn't able to finish it all, as it was packed with so much to enjoy. Red sauce and mozzarella anchor a hearty selection of pepperoni, sliced Italian sausage, roasted mushrooms, red onions, Kalamata olives and dollops of ricotta cheese. The Tribune offers a good balance of sweet, smokey, spicy and creamy.

JACKIE: The Herald was delicious with creamy white sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken breast, ricotta, grape tomato, red onion, crimini mushroom, finished with julienned fresh basil. It was fresh and herbaceous; I like to pretend it was almost a health conscious decision ... right? And The Tribune was loaded with a more traditional combo: red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, red onion, mushroom, roasted red bell peppers, sweet Italian link sausage, Kalamata olives and ricotta.

DUTCH: There is more than pizza here as well. If you are trying your best to be health-conscious, there are a few salad options, but be fair warned, they are heavy in toppings and flavor as well. Of course, if you're not trying to be healthy, then by all means, grab a flight of any assortment of the craft beer available here as well.
